Liam Storrs Brown

After 18 hours of labor, our little guy finally joined us in the world on May 26th at 11:39pm. He was five days past due and we were really anxious to see him. Finally, labor began the morning of May 26th. He was born at Scripps La Jolla hospital and all of the nurses and staff were wonderful.

38 Weeks - Cute new pic of Liam

I had an ultrasound to double check that Liam was in the head-down (aka. I'm ready to come out now) position and sure enough, he has been cooperating nicely. While I was getting the ultrasound, the tech was nice enough to take this picture of Liam:

He looked very snug and happy in my belly. Every time I have an ultrasound, Liam is sucking on his thumb and this time on his hand. He's having a nice cozy time in his little bath. Hope he wants to come out and join the world soon!

36 Weeks - My Aching Back!

I've been keeping a pretty good attitude so far with this pregnancy and comparing much of the required 'mental determination' to training for a marathon. Much like distance running, you have to trick your brain into turning off the pain response in your body and just keep going. Now that I'm at 36 weeks I feel as though I'm rounding the 23rd mile marker. I can taste the finish line but still have a little further to go. One step in front of the other... I will make it. - Linda

The family visited the "Doc" today and only received good "healthy" news about the impending labor and birth of our little baby boy. This past weekend I spent way too much time installing the car seat in the family vehicle. After the first installation of the car seat, I removed it (for no obvious reason), reinstalled the car seat and then triple checked the installation to make sure I had it correct... as over 90% of new parents do not install their baby's car seat correctly. Our bags are packed for the trip to the Scripps La Jolla hospital. Linda and I are so excited! Linda is making me so proud... her mental strength and positive attitude are a continual source of inspiration to me. We can hardly wait to see Liam's tiny face. - Cam

35 Weeks and Counting

Welcome to the Cam and Linda blog! We are starting this blog in order to keep you (friends and family) connected to us as we embark on this new journey of our life as parents. We are so excited to welcome our little boy into the world and have begun the final countdown until he arrives. Here's a glimpse at our baby, Liam, at 20 weeks old:

Liam has definitely grown since these pictures were taken! He is now 5.5 lbs, putting on a lot of baby chub and getting ready for his big debut.
